Job Description

The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join its small staff.

DPIC seeks a candidate for a 20 to 24-hour per week Administrative Assistant non-exempt position to provide essential support as a member of a 10-person team. This is a hybrid position, with the Administrative Assistant spending 2-3 days a week in DPIC’s office and the ability to work remotely during other hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer email, mail, phone and inquiries
  • Maintain accurate financial records and deposit checks
  • Assist with travel arrangements and process reimbursement requests
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative aspects of meetings and events
  • Draft correspondence, manage calendar, and provide other administrative support for Executive Director
  • Set up and/or maintain electronic and physical filing systems
  • Order supplies and office equipments
  • Respond to information requests and draft documents for funders and others

  • Previous office administrative experience
  • Interest in/familiarity with the criminal legal system
