In her forth­com­ing arti­cle in the *U.C. Irvine Law Review*, Professor Alexandra L. Klein argues that the effect of exe­cu­tions on the peo­ple who car­ry them out has been large­ly over­looked in both legal schol­ar­ship and con­sti­tu­tion­al doc­trine.
